Plankbridge x Roisin Quinn
Our Head of Creative, Hannah, was first introduced to Roisin, winner of BBC Interior Design Masters, at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show and both were immediately enthralled by the idea of a collaboration.
For this week’s guest blog, Roisin shares the result of that conversation – the show-stopping design she’s created for a Plankbridge Guest House, an expression of her love of florals and colour, and flair for creating magically inviting spaces…
Hi Roisin, we’re thrilled to be collaborating with you, and love your design. It’s the perfect blend of colours and textures –truly a hut to hunker down in. What was your inspiration?
I wanted to create a cosy, warm and welcoming hut that felt both inviting and intriguing – a space where you feel special, yet completely at home, enveloped in comfort. It’s a place to nestle into, but also a showstopper that takes your breath away the moment you step inside.
Can you tell us a little about your choice of colours and fabrics…
Owning a Plankbridge hut is a meaningful experience, so I wanted the design to reflect that sense of occasion. The space is in harmony with the natural surroundings, featuring earthy tones, charming vintage touches and floral patterns.
How do you want people to feel when they step inside?
Like they’re in a world of their own — transported to a magical place, while still feeling perfectly in tune with nature. I wanted people to walk in and feel compelled to explore, with something captivating to discover in every corner, like hidden treasures just waiting to be found!
From choosing paint colours and accessories to tiles and upholstery, we love working with customers to bring their unique vision to life.
