Three beautiful self-catering Plankbridge shepherd’s huts are situated on an idyllic Dorset farm, not far from the Plankbridge workshop. Two of these huts are traditional sized Snug shepherd’s huts, hidden away in peaceful woodland right beside the river with a little rowing boat. Something out of a children’s book, just magical.
A larger Guest House hut is located in its own private meadow with countryside views over the farmland. This comes equipped with a wood burning hot tub, firepit and seating to make the most of those incredible views.

I love this place. It is the second time we have been and we stayed in one of the shepherd’s huts both times. It is such a beautiful, secluded spot, but has the bonus of a kitchen with electricity. The shepherd’s hut itself is perfect – the bed is so comfortable and they welcome dogs which is great. The little extras that the owners provide, such as flowers in the hut and fresh eggs from the farm, are a lovely touch. The setting is just stunning – you are surrounded by the most beautiful countryside if you like walking – and it’s an easy drive to Bridport if you need anything. Highly recommend.

We were so happy with the shepherd’s hut we booked. Herdwick Hut was really remote and in its own quiet spot away from the main house and cottages.
It was next to a babbling stream and had everything we needed. The fire pit was awesome, the bed was comfy and the views were stunning.Liz, hut guest
