The Long View: The king size bed faces the view so you can lie in bed and watch the sunrise – something we really recommend. You’ve probably seen photos of the view from the bed on their Instagram page – it’s the most photographed view captured by guests!
Behind the bed is a living space with table and chairs that stow when not in use and there’s a fully equipped but perfectly compact kitchen area with a gas hob, a microwave with grill and a mini fridge. There’s a wood burning stove for chilly evenings – so you can stay at any time of year.
The Roundhouse: Inside you’ll discover a deceptively large space with a kingsize bed that faces a huge picture window which frames an ever-changing view of the woods. The reclaimed wood headboard forms a clever room partition behind which is a little dining area.
There’s a charming kitchen space with absolutely everything you’ll need to self- cater – a two ring gas hob, a microwave with grill and a mini fridge. There’s a wood burning stove for chilly nights, guests can really enjoy this space no matter what the time of year.
We had the most amazing time at “The Longview” within Swallowtail Hill. Sarah was amazing with her communications from the start and made us feel so welcomed when we arrived, almost like we had been before.
The hut was stunning inside and out and obviously the highlight is the bifold doors that open out to the most amazing sunrise (we were lucky enough to witness) and view across the farmland.Jimmy, hut guests
Swallowtail hill is a wonderful place to escape. We stayed in the Long View which had a beautiful view and a log fired hot tub. We watched rabbits, deer, dragonfly and bats and enjoyed marshmallows on the campfire.
Everything is well thought out, all you need to bring is food, but even that can be arranged if you ask in advance.Vicky, hut guests
